"This lecturer is very helpful and understanding. He always makes his lectures fun and his personality makes it fun too and allows you to feel comfortable in lecture and ask any questions. It makes you want to learn the material and never miss a lecture."

Male 1

Student End-of-Year Evaluation (2022)
"I’ve been taught by Brad since my first year in undergrad, and he has always without fail managed to teach and explain very thoroughly, clearly and patiently. He always has the time of the day for you whether that’s in class or after class. I truly do not think I would’ve got as good as a grade during my undergraduate years without Brads guidance, and that still holds true during postgrad."

Student End-of-Year Evaluation (2022)
"Brad's sense of humour. The way he carries out his lectures, it makes you feel involved and excited to learn. When I came to uni I don't know what I expected, maybe a large lecture room with the lecturers being distant and not really stopping to check if everyone has understood everything and that we as students needed to keep up. Some of that is true, but at the same time Brad, for example, is really helpful and supportive. I feel excited for my lectures when I know Brad will be carrying them out."

Male Avatar 2
Student End-of-Year Evaluation (2022)
"Brad was extremely positive and knowledgeable. It was an open and friendly environment, where we could all learn and share together. It was easy to express if we were unsure of anything and that are questions would be answered and our minds put at ease."

2021 Male Avatar 2
Student Nomination for Teaching Award (2021)
“Brad this year has been an amazing lecturer both in person and online. His style of teaching and personality has really helped my learning this year especially with the difficulty of people not participating in class as much as I would expect. Despite this difficulty, Brad keeps the seminar interesting, engaging and fun which has helped me remember 'golden nuggets' of information with ease that he provides in interesting ways. He lets his passion shine through so there is never a dull moment. I thoroughly enjoy every lecture.”

Female Avatar 5

Female Avatar 6
Student Nomination for Teaching Award (2021)
“He creates a warm and friendly atmosphere for every seminar or online lecture, he’s very easy to talk to and gives great advice about the teaching material. If anyone is struggling he makes sure that they understand by the time the lecture is up. I also quite like research methods now because i now understand it thanks to Brad.”

Male 3
Student Nomination for Teaching Award (2021)
"[...] he’s a very supportive and helpful lecturer."

Female 7
Student Nomination for Teaching Award (2021)
"Ever since starting in September, he has made everyone feel so welcome and created a positive and inspiring environment in every lab class and seminar. He is funny and friendly but also he is really good at explaining things and getting students involved in seminars. When I’ve emailed or asked questions I’ve gotten everything I needed to know from his responses. Before coming I liked psychology but now I love it more as his lectures have helped me realise how much I enjoy studying it. Overall made my first year enjoyable!"

“Brad is an amazing lecturer, providing quality lectures and having so much time to support students. Brad never finds anything too much and will help students as best as he can applying his experience to ours. Brad also tries to recognise us all around campus, never not smiling or saying hi. Such an inspiration.”

"I enjoy coming to his lab class, he is very passionate about his work and cares a lot about our work and our understanding of the topic, he is overall just an amazing teacher and truly inspirational. Female Avatar 1
Student Nomination for Teaching Award (2019)
"He is so helpful and patient when teaching us all in lab classes, he has been so supportive in providing us help when we need it and explaining things thoroughly but in a way we all understand. I have been able to explain more thoroughly to some of my friends who found it hard to understand some things on SPSS and etc. because of the understanding he has given us. His lab classes are always informative as well as being fun/funny which engages us. His teaching has inspired me and aided me to get the firsts I have done."

Female Avatar 2
Student Nomination for Teaching Award (2019)
"He has been a supportive tutor throughout our first year, leading engaging lab classes and offering academic support throughout the year. He has always had time to support our assignments and provide feedback to ensure we develop. His classes are informative and fun. I think he has really aided my first year and allowed me to get the grades I have (all being 1sts due to my coherent understanding) as he has taught us content and showed us how to apply things appropriately."

Female Avatar 3
Student End-of-Year Evaluation (2019)
"I found the labs to be very useful in gaining an understanding of what was expected of me in the assessments. Without the lab class I feel I would have really struggled to gain the level of understanding I have. My lab tutor was incredibly understanding of my needs and willing to provide support as and when required."
